A beautifully made baseboard mounting filament rheostat. The one pictured is a three-way device that allowed three valve filaments to be independently adjusted by moving the slider knobs up and down the wire-wound cylinders thereby altering the tapping point. The Loriostat was available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6-way variants with resistance values of 6, 15 or 30 ohms. The one pictured is the 6 ohm version.
