A very high quality slow motion variable capacitor with bakelite tuning dial with a 0-180 scale. The capacitor is made of lacquered brass with tempered steel gears.

This range of capacitors included Straight Line Frequency (SLF) and Square Law types. The one shown in the photos is Square Law, has a maximum capacity of 300pF and cost 20 shillings.
