Wirewound Resistance and Holder
The wire wound resistance is housed in a bakelite case with nickel plated end fittings. Various values were available from 1000 ohms up to 100,000 ohms and were rated at 2.5 watts.
Prices for the resistor and holder together varied from 5 shillings to 8 shillings and 6 pence depending on the resistance value. The items could also be bought separately as in the photo.
